Taking care of business...

Today has been a very productive Sunday.

I slept in to start out with. I know that doesn't sound very productive, but trust me I needed it. I woke up with the strong intentions of getting a good workout in. I went to the gym yesterday morning, before heading to work, but it was one of those workouts that just seems forced. You know, you never get into a good groove, and you never really seem to perk up. I made myself do 15 min on thsi crazy stairstepper adn then 15 min run/walk on an incline. Today my butt is sore, so I guess somewhat of a success.

Well before I could head to the gym today, I had to take care of some other business - Deja's business to be exact. I think the snow melted last week, and an old layer of Deja's poo appeared. It was everywhere, and lots of it. Gross. Unfortunately it was also frozen into the snow, so it was a pain to pick up. Also, we appear to have a rabbit, who enjoys using every square inch of our yard to poop on. Double gross. I wasn't going to spend all day on that though.

Anyway, I finally made it to the gym and I swam. The last time I swam was back at college. Yikes. I wasn't sure what a good goal would be, but I thought I'll shoot for 10 laps. Well I did that, and figured I may as well shoot for a half mile. So I did 16 laps, and I think it took a little over a half hour. Not sure how horrible that is, but I did it. And it was a good workout. Done and Done.

When I got home I did the usually Sunday chores - laundry, clean the bathroom, dust, etc. I also went to the grocery store to by snacks for the game, but decided to make a real meal for once. A girl I work with told me her favorite recipe for baked ziti. I have to say it turned out pretty well (even though I accidentally got Sour cream with onions and chives), and Blaine appeared to enjoy it. Another success.

Blaine was busy at drill - doing another PT test this morning at 5:45. So nothing too exciting this weekend. We watched the Sioux last night tie the Gophers at Joe Sensors. I even ran into some people I graduated with! Love the UND bar in the cities! I also had a little success at Albertville with some friends. It was crazy how busy it was there. But now I know there is a Coach outlet, so I may have to come back!!!

Well I lost count of how many weeks of busy season have gone by, but I do know it is February now. There must be an end in sight.

Now back to watching commercials, I mean the Superbowl game!

Out!
